Sunset Valley tended to be a quiet and peaceful little town. That is, until Violet Harmon aged up into a young adult.
She was a natural beauty. Born with unique brown and teal hair.
Unfortunately, Violet still hadn't decided on her lifetime wish. None of her traits really added up to amount to something. She had never been able to keep a part-time job for more than 3 days without getting fired.
All of Violet's older siblings had successfully landed jobs in the career they wanted and were on their way to the top. She envied them for being born with decent traits and hold commitments that easy.
"I don't know what to do Deke." Violet said scratching her head, "I don't want to disappoint mom."
"Don't push yourself, V. Why don't you just try out a bunch of jobs and see which one fits."
Violet has the excitable trait, so of course, she immediately went out and bought the most punk outfit she could find, donning dark lipstick, eyeshadow and a new hair-do.
I can totally be the new Taylor Momsen! Violet thought as she plucked a few strings on her dad's old guitar.
"Why'd you bring a shotgun to the party! Everybody's got one there's nothing new about it!"
Violet belted out the lyrics to her favorite song by The Pretty Reckless.
Violet thought she sounded pretty good until she heard the couple walking by complain.
"She sounds like a dying horse!" Violet heard the woman giggle to her partner.
Well then I guess the rockstar life isn't for me.
As Plan B, Violet bought a brand new 200 simoleon suit. Maybe she would be good at arguing her case in court?
Violet walked confidently into the courthouse....
...and slouched her way back out.
"Why did I have to be the plain one?" Violet grumbled. "I just want to do something with my life."
Violet was so frustrated when she got home, she layed down on the coffee table.
"Well, my plumbob is still green, at least that's a good sign," she sighed.
Violet's youngest brother Adam started crying only a few minutes after she got home.
"No Adam, it's okay. Don't cry!"
"There! See, it was just a dirty diaper." Violet cooed to her brother.
Violet hugged Adam tightly.
"You can come sit and watch TV with me until mom gets home,"
Which in fact, didn't take very long.
"Oh, you look nice. Did you have an interview?" Violet's mother intrigued.
Violet sighed. "I don't know what to do. Nobody will hire me!"
Violet put Adam down to play and continued her conversation.
"I don't even want a job for the money,"
"I just want to do something with my life, I don't want to be a failure and disappoint you!"
"Violet, you could never disappoint me. I see you try everyday, you help me take care of your siblings. You're so good with them!" Her mother exclaimed.
So good with the kids, huh?
Hmmm... Violet was obviously onto something. She drowned out her mother as thoughts ran through her head.
Kids.
"THAT"S IT!!" Violet exclaimed.
"Huh, what's it?"
"I'm good with kids. In fact, I love kids, but I could never apply that to a job right?"
"Yes, but-"
"I know exactly what I want to do with my life!" Violet said, cutting off her mother once again.
"And what's that?" Her mother asked, slightly irked.
Violet stood up with determination.
"I'm going to accept the 100 Baby Challenge!"
Violet quickly dialed up a realtor while her mother still contemplated the thought of a sim even having 100 children, she could barely handle the four she had in the house.
"Hello, I'm looking for a two bedroom house in Sunset Valley,"
"You have one up for sale!? That's great! I'll be right there to check it out!"
Violet changed into a much more casual outfit with a hair-do that accentuated her unique color.
V said her goodbyes and took off in a cab to start her life.
The house wasn't very large, but it was the only one in her budget, and it would do the job for the time being.
The house itself cost 17,000 simoleons, and after buying a fridge, stove, bed, and cribs. It left her with barely 100 simoleons.
While she was living independently, Violet thought it would be good to work on her baking skills.
"I'm going to need some new recipes" Violet muttered, upset the only thing she could manage for lunch was Mac and Cheese.
"This house might be promising for the daddy of baby 1" Violet wondered aloud.
Although slightly deterred when an elderly woman answered the door, V still decided to come inside.
Please be a decent baby daddy in this house. Violet prayed internally
Yup. Violet's eyes were suddenly glued to a very attractive Indian-looking man in the kitchen.
"HI!" Violet nearly screamed as her excitement trait acted up, "I'm doing the 100 baby challenge and I was hoping you could help me!!"
The man looked at her like she was crazy.
"100 kids? "Look lady, you're attractive and all, but I don't think I'm cut out to father 100 kids to a woman I just met."
Violet apologized, and explained the challenge rules to the man, who told her his name was Raye Pendan.
"So, no strings attached? I don't have to pay child support or nothing?"
"Nope. I raise all the kids on my own. No help from father's allowed." Violet said, giving Raye a smolder.
"I guess I can't see the harm then." Raye sighed. Violet squealed and gave him a hug.
She went in for a kiss, but Raye took a step back to dodge it.
"Sorry," he said "I feel a little awkward kissing a woman I just met. Anyway, let's go upstairs and get this over with. You're in a hurry right?" Raye got to the point before Violet did.
"You're sure about this then?' Raye asked with hesitation.
"Absolutely!" Violet grinned.
Woohoo! Literally.
Violet smirked with satisfaction as she heard the conceiving lullaby of Baby 1
Way early the next day, Violet rushed into the bathroom with morning sickness.
Violet was worried. She didn't know morning sickness was a part of pregnancy, so she rushed to the ER to make sure the baby was okay. The nurse laughed and sent her home with a pregnancy procedure packet.
"Hmm. Maybe there's some old furniture in here." Violet pondered.
And without another moment's hesitation she was diving into the dumpster in search of valuables.
A woman came over and pulled Violet out of the dumpster. Telling her she was crazy. Violet told her to mind her business.
A while later Violet was finding a bunch of goodies at the park. She found seeds to start a garden.
And a group of extremely rare butterflies.
She caught one and managed to sell it to the science facility for about 140 simoleons.
Violet stopped to visit her parents and discovered her father had aged into an elder.
"I don't want you to worry about me Violet, I feel fine. Fit as a horse actually." Her father reassured her not to be distracted from her life for his.
V managed to get a good start on her garden before the sun set.
Of course, the enemy of every challenge came along; broken sinks. Violet managed to fix it while being soaked in the process.
"This is going to be your room little one." Violet cooed to her stomach.
Violet was getting midnight cravings with this pregnancy.
I hope I don't eat myself fat with these cravings.
Poor Violet was so tired the next day, she fell asleep on the bench next to the grocery store.
"Oh man? I slept on a bench all day?" Violet wondered
And without a moments notice, her water broke.
Luckily Violet's dad happened to be strolling by and rushed her to the hospital while everyone around her went into a frenzy.
A special welcome to Destiny Harmon, baby 1
AND Furtura Harmon, baby 2
Violet wasn't so sure at first how well she would be able to handle twins on her own, so she had a babysitter come by to help her out on her first day.
Violet didn't want to keep her though, she was worried her kids would grow up calling their babysitter "mom".
Stay tuned for the next chapter and child of Violet's life, which will be out before September 20th!!
